Okay…so I have been very vacant from the blog for a while…it has been a quite busy few months. Just a quick overview (a longer explanation to come later)…I have been working with a super fab designer to re-brand Mrs. Photographer, putting in long and loving hours remodeling/restoring my new studio in Brainerd, photographing lots and lots including couples, babies, bands and more (and my first wedding of the season very soon!), attending photography workshops and conferences, working at becoming more efficient and replacing myself at my current job while expanding my photography company and booking lots and lots, and most importantly squeezing some time in for my husband and family in there.
So here’s the scoop. Soon I will debut a super cute new blog and website with lots of saved up work and information. I will also debut the before/after photos of my studio and be holding my grand opening (mid-may?). So that is where I have been and where Mrs. Photographer is going! I wasn’t going to reveal any images until we were finished, but here is a glimpse in to my new brand and studio.
I am in love! (ps…please forgive the preview images of the studio…the were all taken with my phone!) As you can see…I have my work cut out for me (and my husband…and family). Thank goodness for the DIY network!
A little preview of my new logo/brand design!!! (:
Built in the 1880′s, I love the feeling of history to my new space. My ceilings are over 15 feet with gorgeous natural light pouring in the windows…as you can see we have a little work yet to do.
It is transforming quite fast though. Lots and lots of scraping, scrubbing, vacuumming, washing, and more! Ah! Yes, my body is very sore…especially my knees from refinishing the floor. (original floor shown below…it is very possible it hadn’t been cleaned between the cracks in 100 years).

The view out my front door…so in love!
