Part II of Kelly and Jeremy’s beautiful wedding.  I have to give it to Kelly…she decorated her whole wedding top to bottom.  She made the bouquets (stunning, right?) and turned the reception room upside down into a beautiful escape.  We also got to spend time in the park for some private bride/groom photographs.  I can’t say enough to brides and grooms about this…slow it down…keep some time for yourself in the day.  There is so much going on that you always need a little reflecting time.  Thanks again…and thank you for choosing me as your photographer.  | A (:

PS…I LOVE the picture of the boys (yes, all of them) watching Kelly walk down the aisle.  Looks like they really love you Kelly…especially Jeremy.

The first part of Kelly and Jeremy’s beautiful wedding.  I LOVE it when the bride and groom plan their day with a generous amount of time for getting ready and casual portraits.  It gives us time to warm up as well as capture more emotionally relaxed moments.  In this instance, I have known Kelly for years (since elementary!) but only met Jeremy on the wedding day.  It is sometimes difficult to warm grooms up to the camera, so I was extra thankful for the time they allotted me!  Enjoy part I…part II to come showcasing Kelly’s amazing wedding planning/organizing/designing skills throughout the ceremony and reception!

08.29.10 | Personal

2010 has already brought more than I could ever ask for.  I have been fortunate enough to do what I love, learning as a I go.  I have also had a lot of firsts!  Work related, I attended my first major photography workshop in France at the amazing Elizabeth Messina’s a lovely workshop.  Personally, I celebrated my first anniversary with my husband this August as well as our first birthday’s as husband and wife.  August is big for us as we have my birthday (me, a proud Leo of course), our anniversary, and then Preston’s birthday.   I grew up in a large family (the third of six kids) and my birthday was probably my favorite day of every year (aside from the first day of school of course).  I remember our birthday’s being so special because the were the one day of the year that were all about us.  I loved the balloons, family get togethers, and of course the cake  (usually fantastically made by my older brother Nick).

As August ends, tomorrow is my husbands birthday.  Through my continuance in photography, Preston has been my driving force always leading me back to my passion whenever I stray.  I continually hear “honey you’re an amazing photographer” (who wouldn’t want to hear that, right?) and sometimes a little needed motivation “you know you’ll feel better when you finish editing that wedding!”  I am so happy that as we both start new years of our lives this month, our life outlook is looking pretty positive.  Happy Birthday Mr. Wonderful!!  I can’t wait to celebrate (and take your picture blowing out your candles that you didn’t want) on your birthday for many years to come.  I love you and I hope you enjoy your special day.
